Lab-Grown Jewellery Care and Warranty Policy

At Kaavya Jewellery, every lab-grown jewellery piece is individually handcrafted using premium materials and exceptional craftsmanship. To help preserve the beauty and longevity of your jewellery, please review the following Care, and Policy.

1. Gold Plating & Finish

Where applicable, our lab-grown jewellery is crafted in 925 Sterling Silver and finished with premium 18kt Gold or Rose Gold plating.

Gold plating is a surface finish that naturally wears over time. The rate of wear depends on several factors, including:

  • Frequency of wear
  • Exposure to water, sweat, humidity, perfumes, cosmetics, lotions, and household chemicals
  • Skin chemistry and pH levels
  • Storage and general care

As these factors vary from person to person, the lifespan of the plating cannot be guaranteed.

2. Jewellery Care

To preserve your jewellery's finish and appearance, we recommend the following:

  • Put your jewellery on after applying perfume, lotion, sunscreen, or cosmetics.
  • Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to water, moisture, chlorine, cleaning products, and chemicals.
  • Store your jewellery separately in the pouch or jewellery box provided.
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear.

Proper care significantly extends the life of your jewellery and its finish.

3. Manufacturing Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship.

If your jewellery develops a verified manufacturing defect within 3 months of delivery, we will inspect the item and, where appropriate, repair or replace it at our discretion.

Manufacturing defects include:

  • Defective workmanship
  • Loose settings caused by manufacturing faults
  • Structural defects
  • Uneven or defective plating resulting from the manufacturing process

To submit a warranty claim, please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photographs of the jewellery
  • A description of the issue
  • The original unboxing video

All warranty claims are subject to inspection by our quality assurance team.

4. Normal Wear & Tear

The following are considered normal wear and are not manufacturing defects:

  • Natural fading or wearing of gold plating over time
  • Minor surface scratches from everyday use
  • Damage caused by accidental impact or improper handling
  • Exposure to perfumes, cosmetics, lotions, water, sweat, chlorine, or household chemicals
  • Damage resulting from improper storage, misuse, or unauthorized repairs

Normal wear and tear is not covered under our manufacturing warranty and does not qualify for a refund, replacement, or complimentary repair.

5. Professional Refurbishment Service

To help maintain the beauty of your jewellery, Kaavya Jewellery offers a professional refurbishment service for eligible lab-grown jewellery purchased from us.

Depending on the condition of your jewellery, refurbishment may include:

  • Professional deep cleaning
  • Polishing
  • Prong and setting inspection
  • Gold replating (where applicable)
  • General restoration of the jewellery's finish

Customers may request this service at any time by contacting our Customer Support team via WhatsApp or Email.

After reviewing your jewellery, we will provide:

  • A service quotation
  • Estimated turnaround time
  • Shipping instructions

Service charges and shipping costs may apply depending on the work required.

6. Complimentary Initial Refurbishment

As part of our commitment to customer satisfaction, we offer one complimentary professional replating service within the first 12 months from the date of purchase for eligible gold-plated lab-grown jewellery.

This complimentary service is available once per jewellery piece and covers professional replating only.

Customers are responsible for shipping charges to and from our service centre unless otherwise specified.

Additional refurbishment or replating requests after the complimentary service will be charged according to our current service rates.

7. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for caring for their jewellery in accordance with our care recommendations.

Failure to follow the recommended care instructions may accelerate normal wear of the jewellery and its finish.

A Jewellery Care Guide is included with every purchase and is also available on our website.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing lab-grown jewellery from [Your Brand Name], you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Gold plating is a surface finish that naturally wears with use.
  • Natural fading or wear is not considered a manufacturing defect.
  • Manufacturing defects are covered only within the applicable warranty period and are subject to inspection.
  • Professional refurbishment and replating services are available to help maintain your jewellery after normal wear.
  • Complimentary replating, where offered, is limited to one service within the eligible period and is subject to the terms of this policy.
